 | Mona Lisa is a soulful singer who released her debut album 11-20-79 in 1996, when she was just 16 years old. Mona Lisa was born in Yonkers New York, where she learned she had a talent for singing. She grew up with a mother who was a Pentecostal Minister who gave her great encouragement. With her church background and love from her family she was on her way of pursuing her dreams of becoming a singer. When Mona Lisa became a young adult she started to believe in her God given gift and so did others. At the age of 19 she was to release a second album called “Getting it on” The album never came out but the introductory single called “peach’ was released and had a juicy, body, grooving R/B hip hop feel. The mature tone and sensual texture reflected both Mona Lisa’s personal and professional coming of age.
